According to Addustour newspaper (July 11, 2005), Abdel Munem Samara, Director General of Jordan's Lands and Survey Department, said that the local real estate and land market activities jumped by 100% in the first half of the current year compared with the same period last year. Mr. Samara added that JD 1.75 billion real estate and land exchanges were recorded in Jordan in the first half of the current year.
