Jordan’s exports to Europe up 40 percent

Official statistics released by the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Commerce show that the value of Jordanian exports to the European markets hit 50 million Jordanian Dinars ($70 million) in 2001, up from JD 35.5 million in 2000, a 40.8 percent climb, reported Al-Rai. Jordanian exports to Europe in 2001 constituted 3.7 percent of the total Jordanian exports to the rest of the world compared with 3.3 percent in 2000. — (menareport.com)
