Japanese brand Daiso has opened its first store in the Middle East region at Lamcy Plaza in Dubai.

The store at Lamcy Plaza is a joint venture between Damas and Lals group – two of the leading business houses in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and is the first to be opened in the region as part of the brand's expansion plans including another two stores slated to open in March and a total of seven before the end of the year.

Currently the number one chain in Japan, Daiso has stores in over 2,500 locations worldwide. The store offers 700 new items on its shelves every month with a total of over 50,000 items. The concept has proved to be extremely successful in Japan, where Daiso opens twenty new stores on average every month. — (menareport.com)
