Jadaf Dubai, the oldest ship repair and industrial marine yard in the Arabian Gulf area, has once again demonstrated a remarkable performance, successfully carrying out 570 ship lifting operations during the first quarter of 2006. This significant growth is credited to Dock No. 2 that achieved a 5 per cent increase in docking services in the first quarter of 2006 as compared to the same period last year.
The Dock No. 1 at Jadaf Dubai, which handles all types of sea faring vessels weighing up to 250 deadweight tones (DWT), has successfully docked and undocked 405 ships during the first quarter of 2006. Dock No. 2 has handled a total of 165 ship lifting operations during 2006 as compared to 158 operations conducted in 2005.
“We are witnessing yet another successful year in terms of docking and undocking services that we have been providing to leading ship lines from across the world. Both our docks have repaired and carried out maintenance of a total of 570 ships just during the first quarter of 2006,” said Hamad Ibrahim Al Maghrebi, Operation Manager of Jadaf Dubai. “We have committed ourselves to provide the most professional, unique and superior ship lifting services in the region and this impressive growth inspires us to strive for greater success levels in the future.”
Since its establishment in 1979, Jadaf Dubai has emerged as the preferred dock for prominent fleet operators from all over the world. The marine yard has been gaining a reputation for quality maintenance and repairs, servicing various kinds of sea-faring vessels including yachts, passenger ships and oil tankers.
“More and more fleet operators, encouraged by our improved performance this year, have chosen us for their docking needs. Our unique expertise and extensive experience in providing smooth and efficient docking services is positively contributing to a more successful future for Dubai Maritime City,” added Hamad Al Maghrebi.
