Israel Arrests Jordan's Top Industrialist Figure

The Amman Chamber of Industry on Friday said it was following up with officials on the Israeli arrest of industrialist Abdulqader Natsheh while he was returning from Palestine.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the chamber expressed its rejection and condemnation for the arrest. The chamber said it contacted the Foreign Ministry that stressed it would exert efforts to guarantee Natsheh’s release.

The chamber said that such practices by Israeli authorities constitute an obstacle that hinders developing trade ties between Jordan and Palestine.
