Iran-Turkey trade expands

The volume of trade exchange between Iran and Turkey exceeded 1.477 billion dollars during the first five months of 2005, reflecting an over 55 percent expansion compared to the similar period of 2004.

 

According to IRNA, the value of the two countries' trade exchange stood at 953.5 million dollars during the same period in 2004.

 

Iran exported 275.597 million dollars worth of commodities to Turkey only in May while it imported 77.075 million dollars from the neighboring state.

 

The figure for Turkey's exports and imports from Iran in last May reached 48.972 and 167.9 million dollars respectively.
