Iranian automaker Bahman Group on Tuesday inaugurated the production line of Japanese giant Mitsubishi’s Pajero. Iran's Minister of Industries and Mines, Es’haq Jahangiri, attended the opening ceremony of Pajero project, which started in mid-2003.
According to MNA, Bahman Group managing director Mohammad-Reza Sorush said Pajero would be welcomed in the country.
He added although local demand for the Japanese car had increased 15 percent on average during the past five years, the applications have outnumbered the supply.
Sorush conveyed his group had reached an agreement with Mitsubishi on supplying the Iranian market with new models of the deluxe automobile.
