Iran's Deputy Commerce Minister Mojtaba Khosrowtaj said Monday that the country's non-oil export is projected to hit US$8.5 billion this year. According to Irna, he added that the value of non-oil export will post a rise of 20 percent compared to the last Iranian calendar year of 1383 (ended March 20, 2005).
Khosrowtaj said that 95 percent of objectives behind promotion of non-oil export of the Third Economic Development Plan (2000-2005) have been materialized.
He added that the value of non-oil export is estimated to stand at US$12.5 billion by the end of the Fourth Economic Development Plan (2005-2010).
