Iran Air has cut fares on its international flights by over 20 percent to selected destinations in Asia and around the world. The new fares came into effect on July 15 and are available on flights to Tokyo, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, Vienna, Istanbul, London, Rome, Paris and Moscow, stated a press release.

The Iranian Transport Ministry allocated $500 million from this year’s budget for the much-needed modernization of the national carrier’s ageing fleet, currently consisting of 20 Tupolev and Yak airliners leased from former Soviet states, as well as 10 Boeing jets procured before the 1979 Islamic Revolution. — (menareport.com)
