India's growing autoparts manufacturing industry is set to make a large impact at Automotive Aftermarket Middle East (AAME) 2003, Dubai's annual international trade show for automobile parts, accessories, tires, batteries and garage equipment, to be held at the Airport Expo next week.
This year's Indian pavilion, which will house at least 10 companies, will take up more than 100 square meters an increase of 10 percent on last year. Figures from India's Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) show that automotive component production has risen from less than two billion dollars in 1995 to more than four billion dollars last year, with 10 percent of production exported globally.
“The region has had trading relationships since time immemorial with India, so it is fitting that there is a large Indian presence at AAME 2003. The GCC spare parts market is now worth in excess of $11 billion, making it highly attractive to international manufacturers and suppliers,” said Vice President of International Expo-Consults (IEC), AAME 2003 organizer, Mohammed Falaknaz. — (menareport.com)
