ALBAWABA - The internet has buzzed following the news of a new app that allows people to talk to Jesus Christ's AI version via video. Opinions are split online over an Artificial Intelligence (AI) service that helps believers connect with Jesus.

A tech startup called "Just Like Me" has launched a controversial artificial intelligence service that allows users to have video chats with a virtual, digital version of Jesus Christ for $1.99 per minute, or $49.99 for a 45-minute session.

According to Oddity Central, the product, marketed as Jesus AI, is a virtual mentor offering support, guidance, and encouragement based on Christian teachings.

According to the company's CEO, Chris Bridge, the AI model was trained using the King James Version of the Bible along with sermons from various pastors.

He emphasized that the system is not intended to replace religious faith, clergy, sacred texts, or personal beliefs, but rather serves as a supportive tool to help users navigate life's challenges with a positive and clear mind.

The company also explains on its website that this artificial intelligence is not Jesus Christ and does not claim any religious authority. Rather, it is a technological system inspired by religious teachings related to love, forgiveness, compassion, and personal growth.

According to the "Just Like Me" official website, the company is a premier platform that users can use to talk to digitally created versions of personalities and heroes, powered through AI. There is a large number of AI-generated personalities, both real and fake, such as Santa Claus, Charlie Kirk and Jesus Christ.

"This isn't about technology—it's about humanity. If even one person feels more supported, more loved, or more hopeful because of this experience, then we've succeeded," said Chris Breed, CEO of Just Like Me.
