Indian state-owned aircraft manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Israel Avionics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) providing for the marketing of advanced light helicopters (ALH). The deal relates to the 14-seater civilian version of the twin-engine chopper.
Israel and India have long established tight cooperation between their defense industries. Israel is currently negotiating the sale of its Arrow-2 anti-tactical-ballistic missile to India, as well as three Phalcon airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft.
Israel is reported to have already furnished India with the Greenpine radar and Harpy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), according to a recently released US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) report. — (menareport.com)
