Facing the strong cyclical fluctuations hitting the local tourism industry every summer, Hotel Inter-Continental Al Ain has recently launched a comprehensive promotion program, Summer at the Oasis, to attract tourists to the garden city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The campaign aims at families, a profitable segment of the Inter-Continental Al Ain target market. The hotel will be offering attractive packages that will encourage Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) families to come and spend their summer vacations in Al Ain. The new range of packages offered is expected to increase occupancy by 15 percent.
The aggressive promotional campaign follows the major reconstruction works that were undertaken by Hotel Inter-Continental Al Ain and aims at positioning the property as a full-fledged resort. The renovation included refurbishing the hotels existing premises as well as adding extra facilities.
The 22 million renovation project included building the Inter-Continental Village, a Spanish style complex of chalets furnished with five star equipment and facilities. In addition to the chalets, the new landscaped pool area is distinguishably designed with waterfalls, pool bar, children's pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi. — (menareport.com)
