Home buyers in Bahrain are switching to flats instead of family houses, as land prices soar. There are early signs of a general shift from villa to apartment-ownership, a real estate market expert was quoted as saying by GDN.
Home-buyers in Bahrain traditionally favoured single family villas, but economic conditions and growing land prices are forcing more and more of them to consider buying apartments, said Al Khaleej Development Company (Tameer) real estate advisory executive director Qais Faisal Al Maskati.
