Gulf labor ministers enhance regional workforce strategies in Oman meeting

The ministers of human resources, social development, and labor from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states discussed the strategy of "joint Gulf labor in the fields of labor, workforce, and international cooperation.

ALBAWABA- Labor Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) convened a meeting in Muscat, Oman, to discuss various topics aimed at bolstering regional Gulf cooperation.

According to Oman News Agency, the ministers of human resources, social development, and labor from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states discussed the strategy of "joint Gulf labor in the fields of labor, workforce, and international cooperation, as well as the proposal from the General Secretariat regarding on-the-job training."

The meeting also included discussions on "joint Gulf labor, reviewing the raised recommendations, strengthening the cooperation strategy among GCC countries in developing human capital through youth qualification, training, and skills development, as well as social responsibility, among many other topics."

These matters include "the strategy of the Cooperation Council in the field of civil service, human resource development (2021-2025), unifying the prices for purchasing human resource system licenses in GCC countries, and the decisions of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee in their 117th meeting regarding the challenges facing the common Gulf market and government work."

Additionally, discussions encompassed "the proposal from the General Secretariat of the GCC regarding on-the-job training and honoring competencies in civil service sectors, along with topics presented by member countries."
