The Gulf's first recruitment portal for hiring maids and other unskilled domestic workers, Alkhadam.com has been launched in Dubai by Gulf International Employment Services (GIES), to cater to the needs of people looking for reliable and trained staff to do domestic chores.
The portal brings together employers, jobseekers and recruiting agencies on a common online platform for easy interaction. The new portal will host the CVs of all categories of domestic help, including housemaids, housekeepers, baby sitters, pet attendants, nannies, cooks, gardeners, drivers and watchmen, to enable potential employers to hire them by fillings an online application form. At the same time, manpower supply agencies can post CVs of their candidates on the portal.
The portal allows employers to search for housemaids through an easy search engine, after providing details about the nature of preferences such as nationality and religion. The portal will then provide a list of candidates that suit the employer's requirements. The employer can recruit the candidate by filling an online form.
The portal has a separate registration for recruitment agencies and this form too can be submitted online. The forms are first scrutinized by alkhadam.com, prior to being posted on the portal. The portal will have a number of sections to enable users to drawn full benefit of the services.
