A series of road shows was held to introduce the latest features of Sabre’s Travel Network to travel trade representatives from across the region. The reservations system introduced by Gulf Air simplifies the way in which the reservations function is handled within a travel agency environment, according to a company press release.
“Sabre’s Travel Network is a Global Distribution System (GDS), providing an uncomplicated, cost-effective means for travel agents to research, shop for and buy airline seats and secure hotel room reservations, rental cars, cruises and more,” said Yahya Buali, head of Sabre Travel Network in the region.
“In so doing, the solution improves the efficiency of travel agency operations and enables them to serve their customers extremely cost-effectively.” The road shows are part of a marketing campaign by Gulf Air to grow the current subscriber base, which currently stands at more than 800 travel agencies throughout the region. — (menareport.com)
