Satellite-based communications solutions provider Globecomm Systems introduced its new Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled SkyBorneSM Content Delivery Network solution to the Middle East at Gitex 2002, held recently at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.

Globecomm recently established a permanent presence in the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Dubai Internet City. To facilitate the strengthening of business partnerships and relationships in the region, Globecomm has hired Scott Sobhani as Senior Advisor, and Saed Khaldi as Director, Middle East Region.

Globecomm's SkyBorneSM Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) incorporate the latest digitally convergent technologies to provide solutions to meet the communications needs of businesses, enterprises and governments.

SkyBorneSM CDNs utilize advanced IP technologies for corporate communications, distance learning, business television, digital signage, high-speed software updates, file distribution, IP video and data streaming, point-of-sale advertising, and in-store television and radio programming. — (menareport.com)
