Globecomm supplies Middle East customer with satellite network

Satellite-based communications provider Globecomm Systems has been awarded two satellite infrastructure contracts with an aggregate value of approximately $1.5 million, stated a press release.  

 

One contract is to provide a satellite and fiber content distribution network to a customer in the Middle East. The other contract is to supply an 11 meter C-Band antenna and related equipment to a company in Southeast Asia. The company will use the equipment to transmit international telephony and Internet traffic.  

 

Globecomm Systems’ core business provides end-to-end value-added satellite-based communications solutions. This business supplies ground segment systems and networks for satellite-based communications, including hardware and software to support a wide range of satellite systems. Based in New York, Globecomm Systems also maintains offices in Hong Kong, the UK and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). — (menareport.com)
