Given Imaging sales reach $28.9 million in 2002

Israeli Given Imaging’s fourth quarter and year-end results reached $28.9 million for the twelve months ending December 31, 2002. Revenues for the fourth quarter were nine million dollars, up 20 percent from the third quarter, and 157 percent above the fourth quarter of 2001. 

 

Given Imaging develops, produces and markets the Given Diagnostic System featuring the M2A Capsule Endoscope, the only non-invasive method for direct visualization of the entire small intestine.  

 

The system uses a disposable miniature video camera contained in a capsule which is ingested by the patient. The M2A has been utilized to diagnose a range of diseases of the small intestine including Crohn's Disease, Celiac disease and other malabsorption disorders. — (menareport.com)
