General Electric (GE) has appointed Abdullah Taibah as the Corporate Regional Executive for the Middle East region, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
Taibah, based in Riyadh will head Middle East operations, a promising market which accounts for business of $1.6 billion earned from its eight diversified business groups.
In his new role, Taibah will report directly to Brussels-based Nani Beccalli, President and CEO of GE's operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to taking over his new position, Taibah served as the National Executive for Saudi Arabia, in addition to Sales Master Black Belt for GE Power Systems (GEPS) in the Middle East, India, and Africa region.
GE has been active in the Gulf since 1933. Its activities in the region are conducted through direct presence, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and a wide network of distributors. GE has completed strategic projects in various hi-tech industrial sectors, defense-related contracts and major infrastructure developments. — (menareport.com)
