Dubai-based shipping and logistics company GAC Group (GAC) has expanded its network of global alliances into Venezuela.

GAC's Global Network Alliance agreement with Vensport became effective on March 1, 2004 in the South American country, boasting one of the world's largest known oil deposits. In addition to Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), Venezuela's ports attract bulk carriers, LNG tankers, and container and general cargo ships.

With alliances already established in North, Central and South America, the GAC-Vensport deal brings GAC a step closer to complete port coverage in the Americas. Established in 1974, Vensport is a Venezuelan shipping agency with offices at all main petroleum terminals in the country.

Established in 1956, GAC's core business covers three key areas – shipping, logistics and marine services. GAC employs more than 5,000 people worldwide. The GAC Group corporate head office is in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). — (menareport.com)
