Five Boeing 737 aircrafts will join the Royal Jordanian (RJ) fleet after its Board of Directors accepted in
principle an offer by the Boeing Company.
The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the RJ, Samir Majali said in a press conference that the approval came within an integrated program to have ten aircrafts of the same model that will be joined by others in a later stage.
According to Petra, he said that this step was taken after a through study of an offer by the European Airbus, noting that the process aims at completing the the modernization of the RJ aircrafts that serve on the short and medium routes, after aircrafts working on long routes have been modernized with after acquiring 4 Airbus-340 planes.
