A state of emergency was declared Sunday, September 17, in Cairo International Airport after authorities received a call from an anonymous source, saying there were explosives in the control tower.

However, the threat was soon determined as false, reported the Cairo-based Al-Ahram newspaper, adding that the state of emergency lasted for two hours. – (Mena Report)
