Emaar Property shares reach Dh14.75 intraday high

Real estate major Emaar Properties touched an intraday high of Dh14.47 on Tuesday, and later closed up one percent at Dh14.60 along with Arabtec, which also gained one percent.

 

More than 201 million shares worth Dh1.8 billion were traded across the two UAE bourses, the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the Abu Dhabi Stock Market (ADSM), according to Khaleej Times. The DFM traded 160 million shares worth Dh1.63 billion, while the ADSM traded 41 million shares. Dubai Financial Market index gained 0.5 per cent yesterday as Abu Dhabi index closed marginally down at 3537.

 

Meanwhile, Amlak closed 0.5 per cent up at Dh7.50 as Tamweel and Union Properties posted modest gains.

 

The Commercial Bank of Dubai gained 2.24 per cent to Dh7.77 as National Bank of Dubai slipped 2.8 per cent to Dh10.25. Dubai Islamic Bank closed unchanged at Dh10.85, accounting for more than 95 per cent of the banking sector volumes.

 

Banking sector counters also reported high volumes throughout the day, with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi closing 3 per cent up at Dh25.8, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank slipped 1.3 per cent and 0.3 per cent, respectively. In the services sector, Etisalat closed 10 fils down at Dh19.20.
