The number of small to medium enterprises (SME) that have adopted the new BusinessOne broadband Internet packages has risen 25 percent from April to July 2003, announced Emirates Internet and Multimedia (EIM).
Etisalat's Internet Business Unit attributes the sharp increase to the re-launch of the BusinessOne package in May this year, when the service was repackaged into five separately priced solutions that cater to all budgets of various sized companies.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all product, which was previously the case, the new products provide a range of access speeds, various download limits, a scalable number of emails and web hosting, allowing organsiations to tailor their Internet access to suit their business.
EIM is the Internet service provider arm of Etisalat, launched in March 2000. The company has consistently introduced products including BusinessOne and Al-Shamil, the high speed ADSL Internet connections and online registrations.
Today the United Arab Emirates has more than 945,000 users in total, placing the country in the top 20 most Internet wired countries in the world. — (menareport.com)
