The Egyptian Commercial Attaché in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mamdouh Mustapha, has recently stated that Egyptian exports to the Emirates have nearly doubled in the first quarter of the year 2001, as compared to the corresponding period the previous year.
According to Al-Bayan newspaper, the value of Egyptian exports headed towards the UAE reached to EP 46 million in the first quarter of 2001, up from EP 28 million in the first quarter of 2000. — (Mena Report)
