The value of trade exchanges between Egypt and Belgium reached for 18 billion Belgian Francs ($450 million) in 2000, a rise of 33 percent over the previous year, according to Al-GumhuriaM.
This figure included $100 million Egyptian exports and $350 million Egyptian imports. In the first five months of 2001, the value of the Egyptian exports to Belgium increased by 52 percent compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. — (Mean Report)
