Official statistics released by the Egyptian Planning Ministry show that Egypt received $276.4 million worth of international aid in the past six months, compared with $270.8 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. This constitutes a two percent annual rise, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat

The value of the future aids, agreed upon in contracts signed over the year, declined from $583 million to $130 million—a 78 percent drop. Excluding the economic reforms and the drinking water sectors, all sectors of the Egyptian economy are expected to suffer from this decline in incoming international assistance. — (Mena Report)
