Egypt to invest $109 million into social programs

The Egyptian Minister of Insurance and Social Security, Amina Al-Gondi, stated that the ministry’s next five-year development plan will launch a number of new ventures to be funded by 497 million Egyptian Pounds ($109 million) beginning in 2002, Al-Ahram . Some of the ventures that will be carried out by the ministry are support services for crippled persons and the elderly as well as youth programs. — (menareport.com)
