Egypt’s draft budget set at $30 billion

Egypt’s national budget for the year 2002/2003 has been fixed at 141.4 billion Egyptian Pounds ($30 billion), the highest total ever in Egyptian history. The budget proposal will be brought before the People's Assembly and the Shura Council next month. 

 

According to the draft budget, some EP56 billion will be allocated to education, health, culture and social services, EP34.8 billion will be injected into wages and EP18.9 billion into infrastructure, reported Al-Akhbar. — (menareport.com)
