The master plan of Dubai Mall - due to be the biggest shopping facility - will soon be presented to prospective retailers, according to a top official of Emaar Properties, the developer.

"Final details are being put together on the plan right now," said Robert Booth, executive director, according to Gulf News. "Even then, initial feedback shows overwhelming interest from future partners."

Emaar also aims to bring some big international retail houses for the first time to the Middle East.

"Given the mandate we have to create a landmark that will stand the test of time. Dubai Mall will be positioned as a premium shopping experience," said Booth. "Obviously, details such as the lease rates and the kind of retailer we wish to attract will be based on this mandate."

Construction has got off the ground and the project will be completed in 2006. Booth conveyed that the management of the Dubai Mall will be with Emaar once it is commissioned. (menareport.com)
