The total value of land transactions on Saturday and Sunday peaked at Dhs266.29 millions million, of which sales exceeded Dhs63 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs203.29 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 15 sale transactions were registered with the Department, the most valuable of which was a plot in Lehbab that was sold for Dhs12.2061 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Mardaf acquired for the sum of Dhs11.597672 million and another in Al Suq Al Kabeer for Dhs7.5 million
The Mardaf area was the most active in terms of the sales, with some 3 transactions. Al Satwa followed it with 2 sales.
During the two days, Mardaf recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs15.76 million, followed by the Lehbab area, Dhs12.21 million, and Al Nahda Second area, Dhs7.5 million.
The biggest area sold was the 813740 sq ft in the Lehbab area, which went for Dhs12.21 million. A 54706 sq ft plot in the Mardaf Area was acquired for Dhs11.6 million, while 15000 sq ft of Al Barsha Third was disposed of for Dhs2.25 million.
During the period under review 4 mortgages worth Dhs196 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs120 million for an area at Um Hurair Second. There was another for Dhs40 million on an area in Al Barsha First and a further sum of Dhs32 million registered on an area of land sold in Al Barsha First
