Representatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) recently urged the emirate’s private sector to focus more on Dubai nationals as a way to build the emirate’s economy.
Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, director-general of the DCCI stated that improving skills of Dubai nationals would benefit the nation’s financial standing, according to Khaleej Times.
Doing so, he said, would "Keep up Dubai's recognized position as an important regional and international business hub and an encouraging destination that attracts foreign investment and tourists in the region," Mutaiwee said.
He added that upgrading the emirate's infrastructure and diversifying its tourism sector was also an important step to strengthening Dubai’s economy.
