In yet another major privatisation initiative in the vibrant oil and gas sector, Qatar has announced the launch of a QR4.6 billion gas transport company, 50% of whose equity would be offered to Qatari individuals and companies early next year.
The company would acquire liquefied natrual gas (LNG) vessels to make deliveries to markets in Asia, Europe and North America.
By the year 2010, the company would have acquired 77 LNG vessels. (menareport.com)
