The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) plans to issue Interim Travel Documents in lieu of passports in the near future to facilitate travel by Iraqi citizens outside the country.
According to a CPA announcement, Interim Travel Documents are not yet available to Iraqis. The CPA said the Interim Travel Documents will be used only until Iraqi authorities can issue passports. It said that Iraqis may travel outside their country without passports, depending on the entry requirements of the destination country. — (menareport.com)
