Construction has started on the first of two community centres in Dubai’s Victory Heights, which once complete will offer residents a wide range of recreational facilities, including swimming pools, children’s play areas, basketball courts and BBQ areas.
Both community centres are designed to play a key role in fostering a strong community spirit within the Victory Heights golfing development, which surrounds the award-winning The Els Club golf course.
“We are pleased to announce that construction has started on our first community centre, which should be ready for use by the end of the summer. We anticipate that the centre will become a central part of everyday life in Victory Heights, providing residents with a fantastic venue, containing high-end facilities, for all their social and family activities,” said Yasser Abdulrahman Al Raee, General Manager, Victory Heights.
News of community centre’s construction comes as more residents move into the luxury development, which is nearing 50 percent handover to homeowners, and has already seen the completion of more than 80 percent of phase-one sold villas.
Construction on the second community centre is due to start in June, ensuring that recreational facilities are readily available and easily accessible to all Victory Heights’ current and future residents. Both centres are being built by Proscape.
“Victory Heights is moving ahead to plan with the completion and delivery of its luxury villas and recreational facilities, which will ensure that this unique luxury golfing residential development fully meets the needs of homeowners and their families,” added Al Raee.
Many of the Victory Heights villas boast stunning views of the greens of The Els Club golf course, offering residents a green and peaceful environment, while being just a stone’s throw away from the sporting facilities of Dubai Sports City.
Both The Els Club and The Butch Harmon School of Golf are within walking distance of the villa community, offering beginners and seasoned players the chance to practice their game.
Just five minutes drive away is the International Cricket Stadium, where national and international cricket and football matches are played, and five Sporting Academies which offer world-class coaching to children of all ages in football, hockey, rugby, swimming, and cricket, which are due to open in the second half of 2010.
Villas in the development are built in three different styles; authentic Spanish Andalusian, bold Mediterranean and classic European styles.
