Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for Environment and Public Health Affairs Hussain Nasser Lootah received at his office on Sunday, November 9, 2003, a delegation from the Huangpu District of China. The delegation included Mayor Xiaogang Chen.
During the meeting, the delegation was briefed about the e-government system of Dubai Municipality through a special presentation. The visit of the Chinese delegation was aimed at studying the advanced administration experience of Dubai Municipality, especially the setting up of the civic body's electronic civil service and logistics.
The Chinese delegation on their part introduced the Huangpu District's economic development. Lootah said the visit of the Chinese delegation would enhance the relationship between both the cities of Dubai and Huangpu. The Mayor of Huangpu said the visit would prove beneficial for the mutual interest of both the cities. — (menareport.com)
