ALBAWABA – Engine AI, a robotics company based in Shenzhen, China, has unveiled its new humanoid robot capable of performing front flips with ease and precision, the world's first front-flipping robot.

Engine AI PM01 new humanoid robot

Engine AI has developed PM01, the new humanoid robot capable of performing front flips. The company successfully calculated the robot’s dynamic balance and instantaneous acceleration, enabling it to execute front flips easily, smoothly, and perfectly.

Additionally, the new humanoid robot can perform steady movements and high-speed activities with ease and precision. Engine AI successfully managed to develop advanced agility and dual walking modes for its PM01.

The world's first front-flipping robot

According to sources, the robot stands 1.38 m tall and weighs approximately 40 kg. In addition to its ability to perform various movements, it can reach speeds of 2 meters per second and is equipped with a 320-degree free-rotating motor.

It is worth noting that Engine AI is a Chinese company established in 2023, focusing on general-purpose artificial intelligence (AI) bodies and industry-specific solutions.

Engine AI is making a significant mark in the ongoing rapid development of the Chinese market. According to the latest records, the market scale of Chinese humanoid robots was recorded at approximately $385 million (2.76 billion yuan) in 2024.
