CGG announces its new reservoir characterization service called ‘StrataVista’ which opens up a highway from seismic data into the reservoir.

StrataVista is a direct route from seismic data to the geological model with service points for AVO, acoustic and elastic inversion, depthing, upscaling and downscaling.

The inversion engine is CGG's latest version of TDRov, the only 3D layer-based inversion service available in the market which features a new multi-volume capability for 4D, 4C and AVO.

Additional modules of StrataVista provide feeders for introducing the rock properties of the reservoir, and hence the conversion of seismic data into reservoir attributes which feed the static reservoir model.

StrataVista is a flexible service which allows you to join or exit the highway at any point. The full distance is a journey from the seismic volume to reservoir characterization using the parameters commonly understood by petrophysicists, reservoir engineers and production geologists.

Multiple volumes of data, such as time-lapse views of the reservoir, can be readily transported from the seismic to the reservoir domain to instantaneously review changing reservoir conditions.

Following the standard CGG roadmap, StrataVista will be delivered either as a service, a software sale, or a dedicated service on client sites.
