ALBAWABA - Burak Deniz detained as new celebrity drug operation targets fourteen individuals.
This morning, a further operation was conducted as part of the inquiry into the 'drug' targeting celebrities. There were fourteen individuals who were taken into arrest, among them being the rapper Norm Ender, the chef Somer Sivrioğlu, the musician Mert Demir, and the actors Büşra Pekin and Burak Deniz.
Ongoing drug operations that target celebrities are still going on. This morning, warrants for the arrest of fourteen further individuals were issued. In the "drug" operation that was coordinated by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the following well-known individuals have been ordered to be held because of their involvement:

7- Sinem Özenç Ünsal
8- Elif Büşra Pekin

11- Mert Demir
12- Emre (FEL) Öztürk
13- Ender Eroğlu
14- Enes Güler
A statement was published by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Anatolia, including the following message:
"Within the scope of investigation file 2026/73811 of our Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has conducted an operation targeting individuals who are known to the general public for 'Using Drugs for Personal Use.'" This operation was carried out in coordination with the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Narcotics Crimes Branch Directorate with the intention of bringing those individuals to justice. "On April 9, 2026, simultaneous search and seizure operations were carried out in order to apprehend fourteen individuals who are alleged to have participated in the commission of illicit activities, including the acquisition, acceptance, possession, or use of drugs or stimulants, as well as the distribution of narcotics or stimulants.
While these operations were being carried out, eleven individuals were apprehended, two suspects are currently being sought as fugitives, and one suspect has been identified as being located outside of the country. The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigations into all types of crimes, including those perpetrated against public health, with relentless resolve and thorough attention to detail.
