Technology integrator Bond Communications has donated Waynamakan, Arabic for ‘anywhere’, a GPRS/GSM wireless laptop to the Lebanese Institution for the Blind (LIB). The donation is an attempt by Bond to develop the blind’s information technology (IT) education.
Launched by Bond, the Waynmakan enables users with anywhere to anywhere (A2A) mobile wireless office package offering GSM connectivity with built in mobile, fax, video, email, internet and SMS facilities. “Being totally wireless and easy to set up as a mobile telephone, the Waynmakan has added benefits to the visually impaired. Installing customized voice activated bilingual software for the blind, the laptop will be fully adaptable for the user in any working environment,” said Chief Executive Officer of Bond Communications, Nicholas Mobayed.
