Music composer Barry Kirsch is taking the audio medium to new levels in the Middle East. Barry Kirsch Productions (BKP) has launched the first Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) facility between Dubai and Beirut.
The link enables - for the first time - real time digital voice recording of Arabic voice-over artists for commercials, documentaries and radio spots.
"Many companies in Dubai have ISDN to Europe and the US. But no one so far has achieved a link between Dubai and another Middle Eastern country," said Kirsch. "We are very excited about the link. It means that we now have access to a whole new bank of voices for Dubai's commercial needs."
ISDN compresses and decompresses sound. Users can dial up a number and direct voice-over artists in real time. BKP has established the link in an exclusive deal with Beirut-based company, Eddy Jazra Audio Productions.
BKP offers three fully integrated 64 track facilities using industry standard pro-tools systems. For synch to picture sessions, BKP use digitized video enabling for fast spotting of sound effects and dialogue. The production house also boasts a magic box, used by all the top Hollywood sound designers.
Barry Kirsch is the holder of 25 international music awards and is an Emmy nominee for his film score for Richard Dreyfus, Prisoner of Honour. He is currently working on his first album of fusion songs and is actively involved in bringing copyright awareness in intellectual property to the region. — (menareport.com)
