ALBAWABA - Palestinian-American supermodel, Bella Hadid, is reportedly considering pursuing a lawsuit after Adidas abruptly pulled her out of an ad campaign for the relaunch of its 1972 Munich Olympic footwear, according to TMZ.

According to TMZ sources, Hadid is not content with how Adidas has handled the controversy, claiming that the corporation has not accepted enough responsibility from the public and that she believes they were the driving force behind a harsh and harmful campaign.

The model's personal beliefs and values are allegedly at odds with the company's decision to launch a campaign associating any individual with what is known as the “Munich Massacre” during the 1972 Olympics, in which two members of the Israeli Olympic team were killed and 9 other were taken hostage and later killed in a failed rescue attempt.

In response to strong criticism from pro-Israeli individuals and groups, all of the Adidas’ social media postings featuring Hadid were taken down, with the company stating “We are conscious that connections have been made to tragic historical events, though these are completely unintentional, and we apologize for any upset or distress caused.”

TMZ notes that Hadid is possibly in discussion with her circle regarding not knowing the details of the campaign or the historical references, believing Adidas is at fault for putting her in such a position. However, Hadid reportedly still has an ongoing contract with the sports brand and was not fully dropped as previously believed.
