ALBAWABA - A building in Bristol, England, is up for sale for approximately $1 million. The property increased its value thanks to a Banksy mural painted on its walls.

A Banksy mural in Bristol

Banksy, a pseudonymous English street artist, political activist, and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation, drew a mural on a building property in Bristol, southwest England in 2006.

The mural, titled Well Hung Lover (also known as Naked Man Hanging from Window or simply Naked Man), was painted on the side of a sexual health clinic.

It depicts a naked man hanging from a window while a suited man looks on, standing next to a woman in her underwear.

After Bristol residents voted to keep the mural, the building will be auctioned by Hollis Morgan Estate Agents & Auctioneers, a Bristol estate agency and auction house.

It is worth noting that potential buyers will be able to bid on a 250-year lease for the property, which is estimated to be priced at $890,000 (£700,000). The building features a five-story building that has a basement nightclub and vacant upper floors.

According to the listing: "The purchaser will be required to accept a restrictive covenant in the lease ensuring that the image cannot be removed from the building. Street art is created not as a permanent work of art but as a form of protest which is usually, but not always, created illegally and without the permission of the owner of the building."

Banksy’s identity

Despite the fact that Banksy is one of the world's most famous artists, his identity remains unknown. People reported that the artist was born in the 1970s in Bristol.
