Dubai-based information technology (IT) solutions provider Eastern Networks, and the SWIFT Business Partner for the Middle East has teamed up with SWIFT Interface and Data Extraction (SIDE), the SWIFT Business Partner for France and the Benelux, to offer members of the Middle Eastern financial industry a range of products.

This partnership allows the financial services industry to benefit from a common platform of advanced technology and access to shared solutions. SIDE is the only company that has been granted the SWIFT partner solutions label Provider of SWIFT Accredited Services.

Eastern Networks, which is offers its customers leverage technology to detect and investigate money laundering, expects its partnership with SIDE to add value in protecting regional financial institutions and promoting the Middle East's push to eradicate money laundering activities in line with international policy.

The SIDE elements include traffic control, statistics for auditors and risk managers, investigations, message export and an entry-level version available for SWIFTAlliance Entry, which is essential for any financial institution wanting to communicate with its counterparts through SWIFT's secure global network.

In addition to the SIDE elements, Eastern Networks will also be providing customers with SIDE's other products, which include a Duplicate Detection Application, e-Messaging, Input-to-Output formatting, an IP Host Adapter and the anti-money laundering software and SIDE OFAC Dynamic multi-lists server.

The goal of the Duplicate Detection Application is to prevent emission of outgoing duplicate messages and processing of incoming ones. The e-messaging is an e-mail interface that allows SWIFTAlliance Access users to e-mail an original or a copy of a message to any department within their financial institution or to their customers. This e-MSG application interfaces with the financial institution's intranet and extranet.

Eastern Networks has supplied computing and communication technologies throughout the Middle East since 1984. In addition to being banking application developers and a SWIFT business partner, Eastern Networks is also a bolero.net regional agent and a Microsoft Certified Partner. — (menareport.com)
