Work on the BD1 billion Northern Town is expected to start in November, it was announced Wednesday. According to GDN, the Bahraini Works and Housing Ministry received bids for the project's land reclamation, ranging from BD79.8 million to BD108.5 million. The Tenders Board is now looking into the lowest bid by a Dutch company, which has been lowered by 20pc after a series of meetings with the ministry.
The name of the company will be announced soon, the report added.
