The work on the $50 million ‘Lost Paradise of Dilmun’ Water Park, an integral part of the $1.6 billion Al Areen project, is on target and due to complete by the end of the year. Being developed by the Al Areen Holding Company, the water park covers an overall area of some 77,000 square meters, with a water park built-up area of 45,000 square meters and nearly 20,000 square metres for future expansion and car parking.
According to Bahrain Tribune, the ‘Lost Paradise of Dilmun’ Water Park and the Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort are included in Al Areen’s first phase. The overall Al Areen project is being developed over two million square metres in the southern region of Bahrain close to the wildlife sanctuary.
