Government assurances that a new BD1 billion town is not being built at the expense of other housing projects were welcomed by MPs Tuesday. According to GDN, the 1,000-hectare Northern Town is the first of a series to be built by the National Housing and Urbanisation Committee.
It will provide 13,700 housing units for 68,700 low and middle-income Bahrainis, as well as necessary services, facilities, utilities and projects by private investors.
