A Bahraini official has disclosed that 7,300 applications for 4,641 housing units, 749 flats, 1,066 purchase loans, 529 building loans and 415 plots of land were on the waiting list. According to him, the applications were submitted between 1991 and 2004.
Quoted by the Bahrain Tribune, the official said that the housing projects planned to be built would only cover 1,750 families and the rest would have to continue to wait.
